Technically, we are half way through summer, but many people are running and scheduled themselves as per school starting day (calendar year schedule.) Mostly all school are starting sometime between second week of August and first week of September.

In recent years, many state started cheering shopping, to support local economy, by offering ‘state tax-free day’. Most state offers for 2-3 days as a ‘tax-free’ period and tried to coincide with ‘school start day’ – back to school time period and offers tax-free for school related items such as clothing, computers and general school supplies. Make a list:
Often we decide to buy stuff in spur of the moment, just because that comforter looks so good in store setup. It may not look good in your bed-room setup. So always make comprehensive list of stuff that you really want to purchase and try to stick with it. Make sure you keep in mind about your existing stuff/inventory you have. Avoid fashion and brand name products in your list as brand names are tending to be more expensive compare to similar items from non-famous brand. Making list will help you to against the temptation to buy unnecessary stuff.

Prepare yourself ahead – compare the prices.
Once you get the list prepared, compare high priced tag items at 2-3 different stores (visit store websites) as well as Check online at price-comparison sites such as Pricegrabber.com
Many stores offer last minute specials, coupons and door-buster sale for limited time frame. Find such information from newspaper and individual store flyers.
